The 2382-18 (18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations) course replaces 2382-15 (17th Edition) and covers the requirements of BS7671:2018 that was published 2nd July 2018, coming into effect 1st January 2019. All installations from January 2019 must be designed and installed in accordance with BS7671: 2018 – 18th Edition (Blue Cover).

Electricians wishing to renew their JIB cards will also need to hold the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.   From 01 January 2019, anyone applying for an Installation or Maintenance Electrician gold card for the first time will be required to sign up for Registered Electrician status. This means the applicant must be qualified to the current edition of BS7671: 2018 when the application is made and sign up to a Code of Professional Practice, in addition to holding the minimum qualifications required for the card.

Entry Requirements:

This course is suitable for people working in the electrotechnical industry and having completed their 17th edition Amendment 3: 2015 qualification.

2-hour online, 60 question multiple choice examination
