Bespoke Training

Electrical Skills Training is able to build bespoke courses that are tailor made to the requirements of your organisation. Our bespoke training packages are designed to expand on industry standard qualifications with the intention of building your workforce in a specialised team.

A Fully trained workforce is a safe and productive workforce
Over time your workforce changes and balancing the transfer of specialist skills requires effective communication, training and management. Equally important is that experienced technicians refresh their skillset and keep up to date with industry changes and best practice.

Our bespoke training packages are built around the needs of your business and are designed to ensure your workforce has the right skills to get the job done safely and professionally without compromise.

Organisations that provide additional on-the-job training and skills renewal courses to ensure
their workforce performs consistently.

Are your staff fully aware of the dangers associated with working with electricity?

In many workplace environments staff without any electrical training are exposed to tasks which involve working with electricity in some way. It might be something as simple as turning on a machine or resetting a circuit breaker. Even these apparently simple tasks present real danger to the untrained or complacent user.

We can help non-electrically trained or qualified staff to avoid injury and safely isolate potential hazards as part of their daily routine to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.

Are you meeting your legal obligations as an employer?

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 fall under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. It states the following:

“It is the duty of every employer and self-employed person to comply with the provision of these Regulations in so far as they relate to matters which are within his control” (Regulation 3. (1)(a)).

“In any proceedings for an offence consisting of a contravention of regulations…it shall be a defence for any person to prove that he took all reasonable steps and exercised all due diligence to avoid the commission of that offence.” (Regulation 29.)

Bespoke training packages ensure your staff are fully aware of any Health and Safety concerns identified within your company Risk Assessment. Should an accident still occur, you can demonstrate that you’ve taken ‘reasonable steps’ to prevent it from happening.

It can be hard to find the right training package that will meet your specific needs.  With so many “off the shelf” and “one size fits all” courses to choose from it can often be a daunting experience, especially when you need to stay on budget.  That’s why Electrical Skills Training has developed a modular course structure that allows you to build a training programme to suit your individual requirements.

We offer complete flexibility by allowing you to choose as many training modules as you require and in any combinations. By selecting individual training modules, you can add the content you need at a price that’s right for you.

Where required we can work with you to modify any module and provide fully tailored course materials.

All delegates who successfully complete a course receive a completion certificate detailing the modules and the date they were completed. The certificate is useful in proving that the training has taken place and helps the organisation meet its legal obligations.
