City & Guilds: 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing)

Course duration: 5 days

Cost: £700 + VAT*

This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. The 2391 qualification replaces the 2394 and 2395 and offers three pathways depending on the type of inspection and testing required or previous qualifications gained. READ MORE...

It isn’t altogether a new qualification; instead it has been redesigned and reintroduced to better reflect the needs of the industry, allowing qualified electricians to gain the necessary skills for inspecting and testing wiring systems in accordance with BS7671.

The 2391 – 52 is a combined qualification incorporating both initial and periodic inspection and testing. The course replaces the former 2394/2395 courses and represents the most cost-effective option as the assessments only need to be done once to achieve the full qualification.

Successful completion of the 2391 – 52 combined qualification will help you to meet the criteria for obtaining your JIB gold card as an Approved Electrician.

The course is entirely theory-based. However, if you need to brush up on your practical testing skills before taking the practical assessment, we do offer a separate practical refresher day.

The City & Guilds 2391 – 52 combined course is taught in small classes of up to eight students.

Entry Requirements:

All applicants will have to successfully complete an initial assessment before being accepted onto the course and must be at least 18 years old.

Delegates should have ideally completed the City & Guilds 2392–10 qualification beforehand. However, it is essential that candidates have previously passed the 18th/17th Edition Wiring Regulations and are able to provide a copy of their certificate before enrolling on the 2391-52 course.
