The electrical trade is quite rightly one of the most regulated professions in the UK. From the sole-trader working on domestic projects through to national contractors working on the latest London skyscraper, transport infrastructure or public services we’re all trusted by our colleagues, customers and the public to perform our job safely.
Instructor Led Courses
Electrical Skills Training was established to provide professional training across the West Midlands and the rest of the UK. We believe that good teaching can only be carried out by people with real-world experience, which is why all our courses are taught by professional electricians who have worked on-the-tools and hold the necessary teaching and assessing qualifications.
We keep the number of spaces low in all our courses to allow us to get to know our students. This way we can tailor our training methods to make sure that learning is enjoyable and effective. Where applicable our lessons include practical assignments, Q&A sessions and practice examinations. We don’t just want you to pass the course, we want you to leave us with the expertise and confidence to work safely day-in day-out.

Our instructors have decades of experience delivering City & Guilds approved courses as well as bespoke training packages devised to meet the needs of your organisation. Whatever course you’re looking for, the chances are we can help.
As standard we run scheduled courses throughout the year for:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulation (City & Guilds 2382-18)
- Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391-52)
- Electrical Vehicle Charging (City & Guilds 2921-31)
Where are our courses?
We have a fully equipped Training Centre located in Brierley Hill and with good transport links via M5 and M6 motorways we’re easy to get to from all over the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
We also have a number of ‘guest venues’ that allow us to support professionals based further afield – Coventry, Leamington Spa, Gloucester, Bristol etc.
Upon request we’ll travel anywhere in the country to provide bespoke or City & Guilds approved courses.
